Strategies for a sustainable development of megacities and urban agglomerations will be addressed within the Helmholtz research initiative “Risk-Habitat-Megacity”, where the overall objective is to deepen the understanding of the complex urban processes, interactions and feedback mechanisms that turn megacities and large agglomerations into a risk habitat.
Within this initiative the question in the research topic of Air Quality and Health is on the assessment of the air quality due to the emission of road traffic and its impact on human health.
