An Outstanding Research Environment for Outstanding Climate Research

KIT/IMK-IFU at KIT-Campus Alpin in Garmisch-Partenkirchen comprises nine research groups divided into three departments with a total of about 150 employees. Our staff includes scientists (senior scientists, PhD students, postdocs and visiting scientists), technicians, IT experts, administrative and research management staff.

In addition to the KIT-Campus Alpin offices, laboratories, and facilities for the high-performance computers, KIT/IMK-IFU operates various regional and worldwide research stations.

The research environment is defined by working groups in the field of IT, mechatronics, talent management as well as administration. In cooperation with our experts on data initiative as well as communication and public relations, research is supported in the best possible way and forms the interfaces to KIT in Karlsruhe.
