Within the SPS Blue Nile project, we aim to develop a seamless forecasting system. Using this system, we want to provide crucial information for an improved and more sustainable water management across the whole transboundary Blue Nile river basin. The DataInitiative supports SPS Blue Nile by coordinating the development of PyCast S2S (our main framework for post-processing seasonal forecasts), provide resources and services for making project data available to the consortium and also consult the overall development of an interlinked forecasting system including impact applications like hydrological and agricultural model systems.
